In this 4 hour workshop with Randi Solin participants will sand cast forms and come away with a relief of the object. Randi will use 6 foot long ladle to pour molten glass into sandcasting molds. Sandcasting is a forming technique in which molten glass is poured or ladled into a mold of compacted sand. A rough-textured granular surface results where the glass comes into contact with the sand.
Participants should bring in found objects that tell a story (6×7×1.5 inches max). Ideal objects have a nice texture such as seashells, skeleton keys, etc.
Masks are mandatory, social distancing, bring your water bottle, we'll provide snacks.
Space is limited, quantity below refers to the number of people in your party you are signing up for the workshop.
